Okay, can someone clear up for me the pressure regulator deal?

Is it the spring and bolt in the front cover or is it in the rear iron?

Building an engine and just need to know which parts to toss, because I kept irons and covers I don't need, hoping someone could clear up for me which oil system parts to keep from the TII block..

I'm going to be running a TII oil pump on an N/A engine, wasn't sure if I should swap the front cover oil gallery spring, or the rear iron 'regulator' (I believe), or both?

Maybe someone has some advice for something else I should grab I haven't thought of?

Look buddy, we don't need your trash in this section of our forum.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

The front cover is what has the bolt and spring. That's an over-pressure control valve for if the pressure skyrockets. The actual regulator is on the back iron.

The regulators are the same as well as the control valve setup on the front covers of both NA and T2.

I am pretty sure the only difference is the oil pump between the two motors. But, if you want a cheap upgrade, the FD regulator is something you might look at. I think its 36 bucks at Mazdatrix.
