Where did you get your hole saw? Sounds like a stupid question but the Lowes/Home Depot ones aren't deep enough to go all the way through without bottoming out.
Thanks, Owen |

you can get them from any machinist supply shop. http://kbctools.com/ else you can goto mcmaster.com |
Cool, I'll check them out, I order from McMaster all the time. Thanks!

Mine wasnt deep enough either. So i just took a sawblade and cut the aluminumcasting in the waterarea.
Pretty easy |
Hmm, good idea...I'll remember that in case I don't find anything. Actually, my second to last option would be to buy another saw, cut the end out of it, and weld it to the first one!

Well, I can't find a deep enough hole saw...
Kim, did you cut that aluminum circle/post thing and then continue drilling? Thanks |
I cut it in two stages.
Stage one, i cut through the outer housing Then used a hack saw to cut the aluminum in between the two "layers" Stage two, cut the inner housing Check pics here https://www.nopistons.com/forums/ind...howtopic=57303 |
Cool, if I can just get through that outer cylindrical shaped thing, I should be able to continue drilling. I just wish I could find a taller saw!
