Well, I read a whole lot about all the different types of porting, and I think I'm gonna have to go with the bridge port. I'm going to get to it after I get all my exhaust pieces. How much HP can I expect to gain from this port if I have a free-flowing exhuast? And are their more downfalls to it than "CON'S: Poor drivability, fuel consumption and excessive noise"? And how poor is the drivability? Doesn't seem like it should be that bad. Maybe that's just me. Anyways, I'm also going to do the TB mod, put on my full exhaust, and do an intake port at the same time. I'm looking for a big change https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

pros: about 215hp at the wheels



cons: you have the same torque, your stock efi prolly wont work very well



drivability: i recently drove one, and every one is gonna be a little different. this one idled at 1300rpms, it makes peak power over 9500rpms.

under 4,000 rpms you had to be either on the gas or off the gas, because it wants to brap brap brap at steady throttle. you could drive it to work everyday but i dont think you're gonna want too. i do like my cars quiet, and i like "stock" driveablity, the bridgeport is not for me

Bridgeport engines on the road for everyday use is more for self meditation.

i can imagine a bridgeport car daily driver would be fun but you would get sick of it. you could run a street port...... better all around. if you want to go fast easily, i suggest searching for a TII https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Hmmm. I have a little bit before I decide. I'm liking the HP for the bridge port. How much HP can I expect from a street port?

Actually, It's the extended port I'm looking at. Says it "translates to the potential for around 220 hp providing the best compromise for regularly-used street cars." I'm thinking that's my best bet, because it also says the loss of power at low revs is slight. Couple of questions: 1) I'm guessing my max HP would be close to 8000 (correct me if i'm wrong), so how would i go about removing my rev-limiter (and preferabbly redline buzzer. that thing annoys the **** out of me), and 2) Does anyone know how bad the fuel consumption and noise would be? Nobody here owns any noticeable modded 7s so I don't have anything to base it off of.

Oh, and about the TII, a couple of things. I want to make my N/A really damn fast, simply because I know I can, and it doesn't look like many people do it. Secondly, I don't have enough money for a TII, so I'm doing almost all of my mods out in my garage until I get some money. I'm actually aiming for 13s in my car (eventually), just because here in Tulsa, damn near everyone is slow as hell, and they're all gonna be like "You've got NOS don't you?" "Nope." "Yeah, right, it's probably hidden in your seat". Damn I hate the ricers here, lol.

well you can remove the buzzer but the limiter is another story, you may need to get rid of the factory ecu
