Anyone use these? If so any failers? any horror storys from which they survived?

couldn't you make some out of vitron? would it be better?

If you mean Teflon encapsulated silicone O rings, I have used them and they work fine. The engine has about 3000 miles on it so I don't know how long they last, but I doubt they will give any trouble. Teflon has superior chemical resistance compared to raw silicone, which is what the stock seals are.

don't the inner o-rings have teflon liners stock? or am i off base here? there was a thread recently talkin about how viton is a good material but has it weakness in heat limits.

I have them, and I love them. I had an engine fail before when I hit something in the road and it busted my radiator. The sudden loss of coolant just cooked the stock seals, even though I turned it off almost immediately.

This rebuild, Ive had similar experiences 3 times(sudden coolant loss), but I was much harder on the engine. The engine hasnt missed a beat. The teflon seals have saved me a few times already.

The stock seals have a teflon lining on the side that faces in towards the combustion chamber. But it does no good when the supporting material behind it fails from the heat.
