I ordered the outer coolant seals from them but did not like how they fit. Lot bigger then stock. Dont remember the stock # for the outer.

I can post tonight when I get home

If they are too big, they can get pinched when the motor is assembled and leak. I need to find the right size. My main concern the inner o-ring, as I have seen some come out of brand new sealed gasket kits dry and brittle.

Why not use viton? Are any available in that size? I mean, is there something besides teflon to use, or is it best?

i got the mcmaster catalog in front of me. they have these seals"kalrez perfluoroelastomer" o rings. they sound pretty good.(maybe for the oil control rings)

as soon as i know part numbers or sizes ill ask how much i can get them here at work. maybe cheaper, maybe not. maybe i can have my job pick up the tab...

I ordered some of these a few months back for my rebuild and they fit perfectly and have been trouble free over the past 2000 miles. I have the part number at home and will post it in a day or so if anyone still wants it then. They were $45 including shipping for 4.

The McMaster-Carr stock # is AS568A dash # 175 for the inner coolant seals. The link I posted earlier shows this seal and stock number. Posted a pic to make sure we were talking about the same seals. The inner seals worked good in my opinion. Pic shows the seal on a 12A rotor housing but I also fit them to a 87 13B end plate, fit was good.

The stock number for the outer seals that were posted on the net were to big in my opinion. I felt it would put to much stress on the outer edge of the coolant seal groove.

The outer coolant seal stock number from McMaster-Carr is 9700K11, from one of the other rotary forums.

this part number McMaster-Carr is 9700K11, points to a Buna-N square o-ring cord stock size 3/32". and is sold by the foot.

any ideas?
