I have an S4 NA enigne that I am rebuilding, my stationary gear bearings were both pretty worn so I had some new ones pressed in. In the front bearing I replaced with a FD main bearing, and for the rear bearing I had a Racing Beat 3 window bearing installed. Now for the problem when I did a test fit with the new bearings on my eccentric shaft the rear bearing would not fit onto the eccentic shaft!?! it just gets stuck on the taper, what should I do any advice would be greatly appreciated. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

put some oil on the bearing and the e-shaft. You can also try manually wearing it down i.e. push it back and forth on the e-shaft until the bearing "breaks in" to where it will fit better.

If you didn't use oil then try using oil, but do NOT try breaking the bearing in by hand. Van remind me to kick you in the ass later.

You are probably going to have to get a new bearing. How was the bearing pressed in? If you dont use the mazda special tool or something similar your bearing may have mushroomed.

I think that's what Chris told me to do with the rotor bearings IGY...just figured it may work for the rear bearing too https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

Doh I tried with oil this time and carefully pushed it onto the eccentric shaft. and spun it around for a couple minutes spaying wd40 into the oil hole of the stationary gear every now and then, was that bad? I had the bearing pressed in by my mazda dealer so they better have used the bearing install tool.

Bad idea! Don't force it in.
