Hi, I'm new to this forum but have been playing with rotaries for the past year now. I have an '86 base and am planning on doing a rebuild this winter. This will be my first rotary rebuild but i wanted to do a streetport while its apart. I have been searching and reading a lot of the porting threads on a few sites but have learned the most from this site.
I was just wondering what u guys would do if u were in my shoes. The car is my daily driver (in the summer) so i want to try to keep as much of the low end as possible while gaining as much upstairs as possible (don't mind lossing a little low end but i just don't want to be bogging off of every red light). I'm gonna be getting the pinnapple sleeves and am unsure of just how big I should go as far as porting. Will probably attemp the porting myself even though the only experience porting i've really done was the intake manifold. I do have a couple of scrap irons i plan on praticing on. Anyways, i was wondering where u guys that have achived this got your templates or if anyone has made there own that would suit me would it be possible for me to get a set. Should i bother with porting exhaust ports and if so what would be the best way around the diffusers? Is there an ecu chip i could get to accomadate this? I also have 2.5" freeflowing exhaust. Any advice or opinions anyone has would be greatly appreciated! Thanx in advance!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png |

Thanx guys, but what exactly are u talking about with the screw or weld? I want the 5/6 ports to be operational. How might i be able to get a hold of those templates.
