Here are some pictures of my port job I just did on my S5 TII engine. Can you give me an estimate of how much power increase I should expect with these ports. I ported the side plates, intermediate housing, exhaust ports as big as sleeve, runners. How do the ports look? I didnt go over to the sides too much did I?

The power increase will all depend on other factors as well such as computer, turbo, injector size, exhaust and fuel.

A well tuned Microtech run S5 with hiflowed turbo here in Perth regularly sees 300 rear wheel horsepower on standard ports so with a bit of an extend port probably another 20-30 hp for the sort of ports you've done. Could be more.

As for the ports, that second image looks a bit wavy on the edge. As a rule, never extend the port on the sides at all. Only take it up and/or down. Taking the intake ports down increases overlap and hence the brap brap effect but not necessarily power. Going up will allow more air fuel up to a limit. Your ports aren't excessive.

If you take the ports out on the sides, you run the risk of side and or corner seals dropping into them and getting broken... Check them carefully.

The exhaust ports looks okay and should help it all breath a bit more.

If you have a look at my port picture below, between the two yellow lines is an important area not to go over with your porting as it is where the seals run (you should be able to see the track).

Yea I stayed out of those areas... and the going over to the side part. I didnt really go over to the side, its when I ported up I tried to smooth it out a bit. I didnt go far enough over that it went into the path of either corner or oil seal. Can I just build my engine right now without doing anything else to them? I just want to make sure there isnt anything wrong with them.

Here is that picture of the runners again.
