I apologize if this isn't where this thread belongs, it seems to be the most (only?) active place on the forum. I was wondering if anyone has any kind of flow specs on a stock TII or FD waterpump. I have only heard that it is inefficient and of upgrades, but no concrete numbers. Reason I ask is I have an E-Waterpump setup that I will be installing, but want to make sure I'm not taking a step backwards in flow. Thank you

i've never actually SEEN anyone test it and post flow numbers.. its not in the FSM either, i'm sure its been done though.



also with the belt driven pump, cavitation is an issue over a certain rpm, although i don't know what rpm that is either

E-Waterpumps don't seem very common, is there a reason for this that I might be over-looking, or is it that most people don't want to build a custom setup?



Oh, and I plan on running Evans NPG+ as well, so I can drop the pressure to zero and make it easier on the pump.

reliability... no OEM has an electric water pump that's reliable, the germans use em as auxillary pumps, but they fail regularly



its pretty simple to do though, pump goes in the lower water hose, so it might sit on the frame rail. they sell adaptors to go from the front housing to AN lines..



drag racers DO use electric pumps, but in a 15 second pass they almost don't need it

I've already got the adapter for -20 AN line and the pump. I guess I'll just have to hope that 80 gph is enough! I do plan on mostly drag racing, but may want to try out some RR some time down the line. The pump appears to be a fairly good unit, it's made by Davies Craig.

yeah mount the pump down low.



for the rest it'll either work or it wont..
