is there any difference at all between the Atkins 93-95 side seal springs. or are the MazdaTrix performance side seal springs better? Mazdatrix are slightly cheaper. the only differecne is the color, from what i seen online. oh...im using solid corner seals on a 89-91 TII block, N/A can anyone shed some light on this for me?
also...off this topic. where can i get that Racing Beat heat shield that goes inbetween the manifold and headers. i checked there sight and couldnt find i. i seen it before but cant remember. dumb me. thanks |
im not sure on the seals but to get the heat sheild call racing beat for it.

non turbo sideseal springs are .012 of an inch. 93 3rd gen are .014 of an inch. basically .002 thicker.. I usually have a trick up my sleeve when it comes down to sideseals springs..

B Yeah I double them up but only on motors that aren't going to be daily drivers. The extra spring adds alot more tension and tends to wear the side plates more but for a motor that is for track use and once in a while driven on the streets it does wonders for compression. I did not know that the FD sideseal springs were different. You learn something new every day. |
