I just realized how cheap they are (new), i can just pop these right in no?

I wont need to do any other modifications to use these right? Except the rear gear o-ring elimination.

Which center iron is best for my application? And will fit of course.

Also, how about the rx8 rotors?



Side note: 86 6port bridge port motor.

ALso, using these will i need to use the rx8 front stack?

Yes the FE stuff is much cheeper new and warrents there use. Also the gears are hardened and I say the best ones Mazda offers. The shaft and stats are interchangeable. The rotors require modifying but are also usable. If you use the rotors you have to use the E shaft. But I have not been told this about the other way around. MT has done the most work on swapping the internals around.



TII iron offers the benafit of not having an EGR valve but has the cost of filling the hole.

On the rear gear you have bring the oil hole down so it matches up with the FC rear iron.

So if I use the 8 eshaft and gears i can still use the fc rotors right?

I'm fairly sure the RX8 has multiple OD's on the Rotor bearing lobes(might only be on the bearings ID however), so basically measure the ID of the rotor bearings, and figure out what shaft you need. The stats gears are direct bolt in, other than the minor modification to the oil port, and the RTV.



You are talking about the ring gear on the rotor? There should be no modification required.

No i meant the front gear mod for the oil.

If i use the 8 shaft i have to get the whole thing balanced, so far i cant find a shop local to me that does this.

ALso, if use the 8 stat gears and the 7 shaft then the main bearings will have clearance issues, as i understand it.

The front oil passage is fine, the rear is the one that needs to be modified. I can't help you with getting it balanced, why would there be clearance issues? MEASURE your bearings, as long as they are the same as the RX7 specs, it will fine, if you get the RX8 stat gears get the high output ones, they have 10 oil ports in the bearings.

Thanks, what i read on mazdatrix is that when using 8 gears with a 7 shaft there may be clearance issues in the main bearings
