And what about this iron? Looks like a portion rusted away? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png

She look usable captain... just check the clearance on your apex seal and the corner seal on that corner and groove... also sand paper the sharp edges so they are smoothed out a little on the dings so you don't get a hot spot... can't really see how deep they are but from the pic it doesn't look that bad, just sucks that it's right next to the apex seal groove..

Put a circle around the part you’re talking about and repost the pic... if you’re talking about the area in the water jacket around the port its fine, that's just casting flash and it's normal. You’ll want to check the corner seal ride area specifically around the bottom edge near the ex port and combustion area and also on the two points at the tips of the lemon line...

Sweet, yea I was talking about the "casting flash". Good to know I don't have to spend more money.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Those two little dents don't look too severe and I would use the rotor in a rebuild after getting everything clearanced as usual. I had a slight bruise on one of my rotors' corners which I repaired by gently bending out on the apex seal gap to widen it, then filing down the upturned flash at the very tip of the rotor. Then I used a Dremel to get the corner seal bore back into clearance.

Yeah, I corrected a bruised rotor like how you described. I haven't installed it yet, but I'll double check it before I use it.

i actually wouldn't use the rotor, cuz of the damage to the edges of the apex seal groove.

Clean it up, make sure the clearence is still good on the apex and corner seal. It doesn't look bad. But it is hard to tell when you're not there.

I've used worse, and they run fine. if it makes ya fell better.
