well on the picture is not my rotary ,



hmmm ..... I dont see they break anything when they run on 10sec flat at 1/4 mile ,



the only thing that not lasting is the transmission ...

If twisting was the problem, how come you don't see high power FDs breaking the front plate all the time?



If you hold the engine still at one end, the other end will want to "twist" no matter what.



The power of detonation is many times stronger than the relatively puny torque loading on even the highest power rotaries. Look at the people making huge power with the front cover style motor mounts. The front cover is a really thin, cheesy piece of aluminum. You don't hear about them coming apart from torque loading.



Likewise the engine to transmission interface. You don't hear about that having any issues.



Diagram out the direction in forces from "twist". They go in the opposite direction of the way the breakage occurs.

I missed that.

I'll bet that's why all the extra ground straps - to try to supress the crosstalk.
