What are some of the things you all would recommend while rebuilding the renesis 13b? Any type of porting, etc? The car is NOT a daily driver.. was for show, now I want some more go (it already has a greddy turbo system and made good power)..

I'd like to be able to run 10psi on it all day long and make over 325whp reliably as possible without switching out core parts (rotors, etc)

I've never taken a renesis apart and I am just looking for some guidance on what you all either have done as far as porting, better seals, etc..

I have rebuilt a few 13Bs and a few 12As so I feel confident I can do this, just curious. The engine is running right now, but has low compression at 50K miles...

it needs side seals.... imo best thing you can do would be water/alky injection

so theres no type of portin that can be done to the renensis? has it even been tried also will the lower compresion rotars from a tII be interchangable? if so why have i not heard or alot of people doing this when turboing the 8? just intreseted ill be getting a 8 soon and plan on either turboing the renesis if it can be reliable (witch would mean with the lower compression rotars) or swaping in an rew like speedmachine any way just wonder the same thing thanx

nice i was leaning more towards a rew engine rather then having to deal with the stupid **** invloved with just swaping the rotors when i could make more power and reliabiliy when swapping almost the whole fd drive train minius the twins

there no point in getting rx8 if you gonna swap it for 13b-rew by speedmachine, might as well get an fd. Just stick on the renesis if you plan on buying an 8, remember when the FD came out, it took 3-6 years to get the Fd to where its at, where you see FD at 600hp+ or more, just give it some time for renesis.

You can't buy a zero mile FD. If you could, modifying it would probably be a bad idea.

There is so much wrong with that article I'm not even going to start.

i'm no expert, nor do i claim to be, but i, too, find a lot wrong with that article.

i believe the major problem with the Renesis is time. both time in terms of the here and now, where it lives. and time in terms of, there hasn't been enough to find grassroots solutions to what Mazda gave us to work with. i don't blame Mazda because they brought the rotary back to life in these times of Neo-Nazi capitalism, but it presents a challenge to unlock what i feel is the Renesis' true potential.
