Hey guys! i was wanting to rebuild my n/a 13b that was previously in my '86. i sold the car with a different engine and kept the original which needs to be rebuilt. i was wondering what all i need to do and buy to build up the motor so that it will be a reasonably competitive car, but still driveable on the street.

k, i havent been able to take the motor apart yet, but the last time it ran, it had the flooding prob all the time. i tried everything that i could find in this forum and nothing worked. so i baught another engine and put it in and a month later i had the same prob. so i traded the car off but kept the original engine. i was wanting to rebuild the motor and transplant it in something (im not too sure yet, but i want it original). my goals? i want to try and make around 200-230 hp from the engine (with some other parts like a new computer and intake). ive been away from the rotary world for awhile now and never really knew a whole lot of info about the insides of one anyway so i need a little help. thanx

your flding problem was probaly not an engien problem but the leaky injectors that were on the s4. your motor might have had nto so strong of compression so that added to teh problem of not starting.

your goal is at the wheels or at the flywheel, you can get that ona stock port motor with the right intake and exahust, if you are looking at a standalone and some nice individual throttle bodies then you can get another 20 or so at the wheels

but take that engine appart to give you an idea of what parts u will want to use and what u want to buy new or used
