Alright, I'm looking at the Porting Template Streetable Intake at RB, and I was wondering exactly which port that is, just a mild street port? And I read on one of the links that 93 R1 has pinned in this forum that exhaust porting should not be done on 13Bs. Why not? Is there a good reason? Anyways, yeah, I'd like to buy their templates, but I want to make sure that it's large enough for me to get a very noticeable gain (which I'm sure I could always just go farther than the templates, but I have a really bad habbit of getting carried away).

Templates are usaly quite tame but you will get a good gain by flowing the runners and matching the manifolds etc.

To be honist for the best gains i would get it pro ported by a good rotary man, there is just to much to go wrong, worth the money.

Well, there's nobody here in OK who can do it, and so far, I've worked on my car quite a bit myself and haven't had any problems yet, but I think I'm probably going to skip the templates, unless somebody knows where I can get a template for an Extended Port. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

Hey, I am in oklahoma and I can probably mail you a paper template of a fairly large street port, probably as large as you can go for a 6-port. You don't *have* to port the exhaust but a little won't hurt.

Thats a nice port.I want to do a 6-port engine with a port like that. :yum: :squint:

Where in Oklahoma? I'm in Tulsa. Unfortunately I'm sick as **** right now. I hate Wendy's.

Be carful you get the right template, there is about 10mm to cut into around the port, Fd Templates are to big for Fc T2 etc.

The Racing Beat templates are small.

I started with those but since they were so mall I went to a larger port.

Porting an engine is not hard but keep in mind that a small mistke can cost you big money.
