Any one have experience with Racing Beats aluminum intermediate and rear side housings?, they are supposed to be lighter, but what about the fact that its relpacing the stock cast iron units?, is there an advantage cause the rotor housing are aluminum as well?

would there be any benifits or drawbacks because of the different expansion rates of the metals?

how about heat transfer pro's and con's between the two?

They're aluminum but "plasma" coated on the surface which makes them extremely durable and almost wear proof. They are also much lighter and since the housings are aluminum, you have al/al expansion, ie. it isn't an issue any more. The main problem I see with them is obviously the cost. If you seriously grenade this engine, you're out a sh*tload of money :-( I'm willing to bet the engine will run cooler than a stock counterpart as well. If money isn't an object, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

the weight difference is great, and you have some great porting capabilities. I almost bought them for the motor I just built up but I'm saving that for the next motor, which I plan on using ceramic apex seals on too. I'd like to wait and see how much lighter the renesis rotors are and possibly use those also.



If you choose to use the RB housings, it would seem money is not a issue so you might want to check into ceramic apex seals and also the 2 piece eccentric shaft w/roller bearing on intermediate housing.

i thought the new renesis engine is smaller than a 13b. if so the rotors won't be interchangable.

R1TT, Marco called them. They don't have all the plates in stock, and they don't make them anymore. Check this thread from the other forum

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I believe it's the same size / displacement.



Actually, I'm pretty sure it is. Looking at the press pictures of the disassembled renesis it looks like they reused the casting for previous rotor housings even, the area for the exhaust port is still pressent (peripheral) just not machined out.



AFAIK the renesis is still a 13B. I may be mistaken though.

Damn only rear and intermediate, what the ass, seems okay if money were no object, but the motor would be like all aluminum , and one cast front side, hmmm

They have no ports and they are set up for dry sump. You better have deep pockets.

I'm guessing they didn't make up the front housing because that's where the tension bolts thread into.
