Howdy all, just a quick question

When did mazda move the water seal from the housing to the sideplates? what year?

In 85/86, with the FC3S introduction.

Then it was just moved back with the introduction of the rx8's.

the fc was moved just for fun, but the rx8 needed it to move so the exhaust port can go there
