If you had 2 12a engines laying around could you compile them together and run quad carbs or a good haltech. The shafts wouldn't work but work with me here I'm just curious if it's possible so before anybody harks think about it objectively. I'm strictly thinking about what it would take to make it run... If it's possible.

I've heard that hurley in England did something similar with another tuner. The only custom thing was the eccentric shaft. I wonder how much that cost though. In the long run i think it would be just easier and cheaper, to go 20B

Wonder if anybody could machine an eccentric shaft then? And if so I wonder if it would be cheaper then buying a 20B setup. Cause if you have 2 12a's just sitting around that both work I couldn't imagine it being more expensive then a 20B setup considering you already have the engines and many of the costs for the quad setup will apply to the 20B. For example ecu or carbs, fuel pump, rear end, tranny etc. When you deal with power why do it half hearted. Just trying to keep options open but I will agree that buying a 20B and slapping it in would be easier but I'm just looking for a good time and experimenting :bigok: so if anybody has any ideas?

I saw a picture of this sort of Frankenstein. It was taken at a SevenStock. I forget which one. The engine has a tag on it that said "23A".
