Does anyone have any dynos comparing street ports, to bridge ports and peripheral ports?
Obviously bridge ports make power higher up in the rev range than street ports and have a much narrower power band, but where do they begin to make power? Same is true of PPorts, but I have heard that they can be quite streetable if tuned on a good Standalone. Usually PPorts rev to obscene levels, but does this mean that they can start to make power lower than a bridge port and have a wider power band because they have less overlap than a large bridge port? I think being able to see some dynos next to each other would help a lot of people in deciding what type of porting to do to their project cars. Most people are only interested in Wide Open Throttle and will be using a nicely tuned header and straight through exhaust for their projects. Custom intake manifolds are also on the minds of most. |
