Here is a pic I scanned from the latest RX-7 magazine here in Japan. This first picture is of some of Amemiyas work. Just thought I would share.

Here is a second one. This is of FEED's Primary port.
They do note that there is no Specific Template they use it all depends on what the purpose of the engine will be. Also FEED likes to make large primaries to increase tourque and making them bigger dosen't cause overlap. |
That intake port is goign to cause the engine to burn unnecessary amounts of oil. You shoould not going into the oil seal track any when doing intake ports.

the first picture there , the amoutn that the show that goes toward teh oil seal track is quite a bit, and i think it might smoke some, but u have to go soem to smooth out the casting. then again that red that they port might be just a rought sketch by some journalist and not the RE shop itself?
|
I think the red stuff is marking dye or "Dykem" (known brand in the US) and not necessarily where they are going to port...

Considering this is a japanese rotary shop I really don't like what I see.

bump.

I am a little baffled that they are porting into the oil seal track. Even more so since these are the "all powerful and knowing" japanizes shops.

His ports look smallish compared to Ito's. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Port height size is what I'm talking about (not oil seal track area).
|
Besides lighting, what's different with the exhaust ports? I'm having trouble noticing the difference.
