Has anyone done are partial PP? Anyone have yet? I have seen in some japanise mags where they sell the rotor housings and a custom cut LIM. They go for around 200,000 yen and up. What type of power would they make, and how hard would it be to tune? Sound like? I am sure that with a street port and a big exhaust port you could make some monster #'s.(with all the extra hardware of course) I'll try and load some pictures. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

Been thinking about this . . . someone else was a bit more serious and was planning to build such an engine. thread I think it should work well but some others didn't. Pics would be good https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

looking for pictures now, I might just have to scan the pictures for the mags I have

go to the other forum and search for a post by a guy name "initialDFC" i think. He had a 13b-rew in his FC with a partial PP. I think he blew it up tuning but there are some pics of his setup previous to the kaboom.

Ito built a frankenstein motor, something like that. Search inside this forum somewhere for it

Apex13B 05-16-2003 06:48 PM

Ito's motor, from what i remember was an all-out drag racing motor, not a street motor. PP's and partial PP's would be a pain in the ass to drive on the street.

I agree completely. I'm currently driving a PP/E.F.I on the street's and It's a bitch sometimes. And not to good on fuel.

It is never cheap to go fast, why are people so scared to go Partial P or even BP. Those to setup with give you monster power! I know but they dont last! What high power/boost RX7 last 50,000 miles even 30,000? Very few. If you want more power driveablity and reliablity are lost.

vosko 05-30-2003 01:57 PM

my car has good driveability and reliability so far. i made a 500+ mile round trip a few weekends ago without a problem.... that included racing turborotor up to 150+ a few times https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

toddp31 05-30-2003 02:03 PM

you are running 15psi? Are you going to turn it up or are you happy for now?

vosko 05-30-2003 02:06 PM

i am 100% happy with 15psi. it is safe and reliable. i will run more boost 20-25psi but only on race gas and at the track basically.... i have a problem right now with getting my race clutch to disengage. hoping its hydraulics but not 100% sure

toddp31 05-30-2003 03:17 PM

what type of clutch? I agree 15psi is plenty, the track is a different story like you said.

vosko 05-30-2003 03:36 PM

act extreme pressure plate and act sintered iron full face disk unsprung

banzaitoyota 05-30-2003 06:13 PM

Reese, NOTA944, is running a partial bridge by ?BDC right now

vosko 05-31-2003 01:56 PM

and he needs a bigger turbo https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

93 R1 05-31-2003 02:47 PM

**** yeah if you are gonna do a huge street port, bridge or even PP, why waste it with a small t4 turbo? Go all out https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif
