Wondering if their is a time frame of inevitable deterioration of the o-rings in the Mazda rotaries.

For example, is it unavoidable that an early '80's RX-7 on the stock motor will need to have a rebuild some time soon due to the fact that the o-rings are growing old and perhaps dry rotting? Even if the car had a lower mileage motor in it? I am assuming they will deteriorate gradually just as any rubber product will.

yah it seems like low mile cars blow smoke. i think if it sees regular use and fresh oil they last the longest

Ya Someone should come out with a better "O" ring set.

Maybe polyurenthan or something more resistent to break down.

**** I buy it.
