need your input on engine rebuild kits

Sup guys,
I will be rebuilding my FD to be used as a Time Attack car. The car will not be a DD, and as i mentioned a track car only. I am looking for a reliable kit out there that will handle the track abuse. The goal is to reach 500ish WHP on E85 and water injection. so, share with me your experience, Apex seals sizes etc.. and why you went that route.

Thank you in advance and I hope this thread could help others who are curious.

Rotary aviation or goopy apex seals. Make sure your engine either has extra dowels or is studed. As far as rebuild kits go,I personally use Atkins kits. But their apex seals are only good for 14psi.

Thank you for your reply. I guess my question is, how do the other companies do it? Is there other apex seals out there that will handle 20 PSI or so? And as I mentioned, the car will be used for time attack, which means that majority of the time the engine will be operating at a high RPMs. I just want to know what needs to be done to built a strong engine. Please keep in mind that I come from piston engines background and my knowledge is limited on rotaries.

If i can help, I will. Goopy or rotary aviation apex seals are the ones you'll need. Upgrading the oiling system is a must for racing engines. I'd use race bearings on the rotors and stationary gears. Oil is 40% of the cooling system in rotaries. A streetport is the most reliable port and will give you 30-40hp over stock ports. The enigne in your car can handle up to 400hp,but anything above that I recommend some kind of reinforcement. Extra dowels may be all that you need. Size the turbo for how you plan on using the engine. I hope this helps. I'd contact either Atkins Racing or Banzai Racing, they can help you way more than I can. Both are trusted shops that build anything from stock to race engines all the time. Both are very experienced.

Yea, I am planning on it as soon as I start. Right now I'm trying to contact rotary specialists to gather information.
