Do you have the right impedence injectors?

"The motor he built me is GREAT" What criteria are you basing that statement on? The fact that it runs (not well I might add)? I have limited experience but in my opinion I have yet to see a GREAt one. I've yet to see a GOOD one in fact. Just cause a motor runs doesnt make it a GREAT. And what does Chris' ability to run a shop have to do with it? He doesnt run a shop...... Adam does. That is always the arguement, the "well could you do any better"? That doesnt matter whatsoever. Chris doesnt charge for work done.

Listen I hope you get to the bottom of your problems and you get them all solved. Just take the blinders off when your trouble shooting, be sceptical of the motor as well. Don't assume it's GREAT.

Ok I get it. I didn't say that I didn't go over the idea of the motor could have a problem. I was there when they put the motor together. I didn't have a problem with there work. Thats all. I have a first gen 12a street port. I have had it for 7 years. This isn't my first rotory. the car is still on it's first engine. So I must know something about then. Being that I do 100 percent of the work my self. Yes I run an autobody and wiring shop. I just said this because sometimes people call down my work. Even if the work isn't the problem. But if there is a problem with his work why is he so busy? But that is not why I started this Post. My girlfriend is with out a car still. And I have no ideas left! I can't hear, see, or find (via carb cleaner) a leak. I not saying it's impossible but all the lines are hooked up. Is there a comon place that is a problem? I don't want to worry about what you all think of anyone. I know some might have had problems. Fine. But the motor has 90 90 90, 90 90 90 cold. sounds ok to me. So lets just figure out the problem. Cause the next time any of you have wireing or body work problems then I can give you help.

Was the motor built with all new seals?

If so they might need some time to seat and break in.

Do you have the rats nest Removed?

Check the throttle body and make sure its clean.

The shop is always busy because he is basically the only shop who works on rotaries in the city.. there are alot of rx-7's in town and not alot of knowledgeable people.. so when kids buy themselves an rx-7 thinking it's the greatest thing on the planet, realize it runs poorly, they take it to the shop, get charged an arm and a leg, never get the issue solved, then sell the car to the next kid.. and the cycle starts all over again... but anyways.. let's get back to your situation..

You say you can't find any leaks, and you've confirmed timing is correct, as well as already replaced alot of the major components to try and eliminate the issue.. you sound like a competent fellow, so we can assume that there in fact are no leaks / misrouted / disconnected vac issues (not that it would cause the severity of issues you are pointing out) .. we will also rule out the motor itself at this point in time.. Are you still runninng a cat in your exhaust system? a clogged cat, or even muffler who's baffling has fallen apart could cause your power issues.. would it be possible for you to run your car without the exhaust for a quick run down the street?

Timing could also cause the problem.. too much retard would definitly kill your power and exhaust temps would rise making yoru exhaust ssystem run hot.. you are running a distributor right? is the advance working correctly?

you can't rev past 6000rpm? Hav you tried to climb past 6000rpm slowley on light throttle? or does this only occur when you are at WOT?
