i recently bought a 83 rx-7 with a 12a and it is beautiful. but soon enough ill have enough money to swap to a 13b. and ive been looking around and there are too many choices. i want to stick with the carb but i would do fuel injection if it means more performance. i juss want to know what year/ model i should get and if i can get a full front clip??? this is going to be a street car hopefully running 12 or 11's. im new to the rotary thing so any help would be great!!

Well, when I had 1 of my 5 first gen's, I had plans to do a Turbo II 13B in it and from what I found there's a couple of ways to do it. Use the 12A front cover on the 13B then make a fitting in the front cover for oil drain, use the 12A tranny but you need to switch to the 12A flywheel or just use the 13B tranny. and some various other things. Carbs would be fun and easy on the 13B, and about the same price or cheaper as alot of fuel injection that I've seen. So either way could be a good choice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Hope this provides a little of what your looking for.

belive it or not there is a beautiful conversion for the first gens to TII motor where you pretty much take the tranny and engine out from a TII and drive shaft from and automatic and put in a different rear end that that pretty much it just keep you 12A engine cover so it will still mount to the frame. i'm not really sure how i've personnel never done it my self but i seen them done and from what i under stand there nothing much to it.

look around the forum. Or different web site to get a better idea.
