Hurley claim 900hp from their six-rotor ... I presume that's n/a, I'd hope anyway. Peripheral ported ...
Are six the limit? has anyone done an eight-rotor? (heck has anyone else done a six-rotor) How much torque can the e-shaft transmit? |
I've only heard about 4 rotors, six rotor would be great. Any pics of it.
Yes, pics of the e-shaft specifically.
I only saw 2,3,4 rotor e-shafts only.
I think the sum total of their info on the six-rotor is right there. One pic and one line of text ... that's all I could find anyway.
Something tells me they either don't want people to know what the phasing looks like, or that it's not fully completed yet.
It looks a little suspect with no intermediate plates a la 20B. Not that hard to bolt together a bunch of spare parts I suppose https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png unless anyone knows how they supported the e-shaft in the middle?
I don't know a ton about them, but wouldn't the e-shaft be put under too much stress for it to handle at that length?
If you can connect 2 motor together, why not get 2 787B (4 rotor). That's the only way I see a 8 rotor and how long do you think it would be.
