ok as the title says im tryin to build a motor for the upcoming Pan American Nationals at atco thiis summer. i want it to be straight race, tach out to like 12,000 RPM if possible, run on Methanol and nitrous. are my hopes and dreams way to high or is this possible. looking for guilines on apex seals, housing port job, wat size HP shot of nitrous, carberator or fuel injection, also i wanted to premix instead of oil injection. any complications with using methanol and premix oils. any help would be greatly appreciated

I would say look to make your power a little lower, between 10K and 10.5K. With methanol and NOS I would have to say Ito would be the man to build the bulletproof motor.

Lower RPM=engine lasts longer. Just because it is an all out race engine does not mean it needs to be torn down every other race. Build it right once and enjoy your time watching everyone else take their stuff apart before the next heat.

I'm here. if you want to have a machine dialed in and running hard by the pan ams.. u need to start rite away. I say this because it takes a few months just to get the car running hard.. hard enough to qualify for the american team. usually the bump spot is 8.80@150mph or faster to make it in, to team USA..

just to build what u want is going to take about 1 month and half working on the car non-stop everyday. then u need to test and tune.. it could be done.. it just takes alot of money.. is it worth it?? not sure its up to u..

ok i've decided that in order to do this right im going to have to wait till Pan Ams of 07 i don't think im gonna have enough time to finish the car in time or the motor but im definetly gonna need help.

Judge,

What do you recommend for a premix ratio on Methanol?

I'd really prefer a good starting spot, even though I figure I'm going to have to learn for myself...
