i called racign beat askign if i can use grade 8.8 bolts for the flywheel counterweight, the 6 bolts that hold the flightweight flywheel to the counterweight.

they told me that they are not sure, their lead engiener wasnt there so the guy just gave me specs for what they use, m10 x pitch 1.25 lenth 20mm x T7

G0-6 x h14

so i was wonderign if i will be fine with 8.8 grade and not some t7 whatever that means? did anyone use aftermarket bolts?

I'm sure it's fine, that's just the strength of the bolt..

Grade 8 is for imperial bolts BTW.. Metric has a different means of rating I am told... ? Anyways grade 8 is very heavy duty (strong) bolts.

you want strong, flywheel coming off = bad

Make sure you get the bolts from the auto parts store not home depot. Did you try getting the bolts at the dealer for automatic flex plate instead???

I had a spare set, but they're currently in use on my 20B to test fire it.
