a few days ago i started up my car just to get it running for a few minutes and not just sit there forever, i noticed that there is a pretty sever oil leak coming from the front cover. Now, what im not sure on, is whether i could get away with just replacing the front cover seal, OR if i should take the whole engine out and replace all the seals on it, OR if i should start building a replacement engine to use instead.

There also isnt too much that i know about the engine, other than it being an NA bridgeport and that it was supposidly built by R&R rotary. Given that information, im kind of leaning towards a whole seal kit or building a new engine, since i basically have no clue on the satus of the current engine.

when you say sever, does it leave a big puddle of oil on the floor? and yeah silicon will do the trick just done use to much cause oil and silicon do kinda mix and it will go through your engine

I replaced the front cover gasket on my na without pulling themotor in only a few hours. Your gaskets probably just walked out . I removed it without even pulling the oil pan off then siliconed the front cover and front part of the pan and it has stayed perfectly dry. Its really easy without ac and ps, I had both so it was a bit harder.

Mine was leaking like a quart a minute.

sounds good. i just wasnt sure on how big of a problem it is when your front cover is leaking. and if things go according to plans the car will make it to sevenstock this year.

yea, lol, i did the same thing. I got the car and it was dumping oil out the front cover. so as soon as i got it i removed all the emissions, the whole rats nest, the OMP and its system and all kinds of fun stuff lol. I sorta wish now i didnt do the permanent OMP removal method because it would be easier to sell it, but meh whatever
