This question is mostly for JudgeIto himself, but anyone with some personal experince with this can chime in.

I got a set of JudgeIto's streetport templets and was told that they were too aggressive for a twin setup (seq. FD twins). I have all supporting mods (if fact I'm going back from a single turbo setup) and the turbos are actually the Pettit upgraded twins with a ported wastegate and some additional flow-mods.

So my question is, will Ito's ports be too aggressive for this setup and out flow my system? I want to keep the quick spool (reason for the seq. setup) but don't want to run out of air on the topend.

The most important thing you need to take advantage of Ito's or anyone's good porting job would be a way of tuning the combination to suit the port.

I've seen stock twins on a good port do well over 400rwhp.

the current japanese rx7 magazine has a famspeed fd with stock twins, 499ps @1.3bar.... its even still got the ac and the air pump....

the primary ports(center plate) is responsible for air velocity, in return it's responsible for low rpm torque and power. the larger the primary ports, the slower the air fuel will travel and sacrifice your bottom end. My template is not much larger for your primary ports. but more aggresive for the engines secondary ports. Basically a good combination for both worlds. smaller primaries and larger secondaries. you will maintain your low rpm response, but gain good mid and upper rpm power...

go ahead and port without concers and you will reward yourself..

thanks for the reply https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/bowdown.gif

I attched a pic of the primary port with the template over it...

I was told the early opening will kill my bottom end and the large size will cause my turbos to run out of breath up top

I just don't want a peaky monster that my turbos can't keep up with https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.gif

dont want to get into a technical escapade, many factors go into low rpm torque and power, from intake opening to cfm, to intake closing, to venturis... and on and on. enjoy the template and port away..
