Can some one please tell me i've not just Scraped a Brand new £300 plate???

As you can proberly tell i'm getting stressed now. I'm reading don't use a Template that takes so much out of the Opening edge that the Side seal is not suported? I am reading things like your Housings are scrap!! on threads that have used The template? But also there are more than one knocking about and there is not huge amounts of people kicking off about it so i'm realy confused.

The main problem i have is alot of people are copying the Pic of the wild Extended port which is looking like its got issues with side seals, what i want to know is A. is it reliable? b. What is the Finished Port (using the template and not going bigger) suposed to look like? c. what is the Closing edge suposed to look like (should it have a Rad in the corner to help the side seal or should it be a Sharp edge)?

I hope who ever owns this Plate don't mind me posting it up.

Is this How the Closing edge should look? (quite sharp)

I have an idea for you, Grizzly:

Put the rear stationary gear in (assuming it's a rear housing), place a doweled rotor housing atop the iron, place a rotor w/ three side seals on it on the gear, then turn that rotor around by hand to see where the side seal track is. You can put your finger through the intake port to see how much of it is exposed, if the edge is at all.

Ok this is how i used to Mark up ports (when i did them without a template)

Its a Bit hard to see but i Sprayed the Plate with Satin Black then put a corner seal in a Rotor and ran it round the Gear to mark out where the Corner seal ran.

The hole idea of Buying a template was to make sure both Ports where perfectly matching and the correct shape and size (being made by a pro and i thought it would save time but there are so many ways of doing the same job and some better than others)

It's okay if you using solid corner seal and carbon Apex, not with corner seal/rubber button.

I was more worried about the side seal, but looking at the Pic its not a Problem.
