Hi guys,

I am Breaking-in my newly rebuild engine with the Rotary aviation master rebuild kit...

On my Power Fc i have noticed that there is knock.. I mean i know it is supposed to be there but the highest reading i have seen on mine is 72 yet...in 260kms that i have driven the car..

I get knock during the time when i am in 4th or 5th gear at around 2500rpms and let off the accelerator then i see knock otherwise there is not much knock..

Is there something wrong...

Also my pfc came with some map from Japan but the guy who sent it did not even know my mods.. Can i load some other map with the help of the commander on the weekend??

i have the following mods

Apex-i N1 Cat Back

Apex-i Intakes

Apex-i power FC

Apex-i GT Spec Radiator

Knightsports downpipe

Greddy large SMIC

OK Knock on the PFC has no set number. Some knock sensors are more sensetive than others and some motors make more noise than others.

During break in you might notice some higher numbers but after you drive it for a while it will settle. Just for the record anything above 60 is usuallyconsidered bad.

if you are getting knock only at the times you describe it is not too much to worry about. You might want to look at your ignition timing in those cells. Some people run a lot of timing in the decel areas.

As far as your map is concerned, if it was programmed using the Power excel software or datalogit you will be better off to buy Datalogit and reset everything or adjust from there. You can adjust things with the commander but you are just adding to or taking away from the mapping set by the previousl guy.

I would highly reccomend getting datalogit and some guages before going to deep into changing the maps.

it could be something loose too, it just picks up vibration...
