I have read quite alot about the size and shape of the extended Ports.

My question is If i want to keep a relativly smooth Idle on my FD but want to get as much out of the port job as possable. Do i have to match the Primary and ports? (Opening and closing positions) Basicly what i'm tring to say can i run a tame smaller Primary and a more wild secondry?

I have read before now that is can be done on Fd's becouse of the way the throttles are set up (no Plenum) is this correct?

Cheers

Chris

Sure why not. Ive used old 12a 4 port secondaries as a template for the primary before ( got to be careful going down theres not much beef down near the bottom. ) You can extend the secondaries up like the same distance and shape as a 6 port without going wide this will give you a smooth idle and some more power.

so am i right in saying as long as i don't touch the opening time of the port (the Corner seal edge) i can open the top up without it messing up my Idle?

What effect would opening the top edge of the port to its max produce? I know it would possably not help side seal life?

Could i buy an Aggressive Extended port template but not touch the opening edge when cutting the new port?
