Im building a 1988 TII motor, fresh rebuild, brigeport, T70 Turbo, FMIC, 3" Turbo back exhaust, PFC-FCON, 850 and 720 injectors, 50mm external wastegate, and a stainless turbo mani. walbro fuel pump. Im going to put on an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, I was wondering how to properly bypass and remove the p.o.s. pulsation damper? Can i just remove it and put in a banjo bolt, What are the drawbacks to running without a damper?

yes you can just remove it.

Good aftermarket regulators (most of them, but i dont want to speak for ALL) work as pulsation dampers.

You might need more injector with that setup. I'd want to run a 1600/550 or 1600/850 if you plan on running any type or serious boost.

Yea alot of people tell me to run bigger injectors, im only going to be running 11-14 pounds boost for now, the HKS PFC-Fcon only supports to 14, im just going to run a slightly higher fuel pressure. I definatly want to run a standalone in the future i will get bigger injectors then. Btw What is a good fuel pressure to run with my setup?

in all honesty, just spend the little extra money and get a apexi PFC, at the very least. That, and a bigger set of secondarys and you dont have to worry about needing more fuel for a while!

I have always run a base 40psi fuel pressure.

yeah a bridgeport + stock ecu is just a bad idea

Yep, these guys are right. You need a standalone and probably more injector.

Let me know if you need any help or would like some advice for that setup, rx7man629.
