Going to pull engine and do some oil mods as well

just simple things like oil pan baffle and up the oil pressure.

I don't want to spend 90 bucks for the racing beat oil pressure regulator.

Can i use the FD oil pressure regulator? is it a direct fit?

also what is the FD oil pres, the only thing iknow is that its higher then FC TII

FD oil pressure is like 95psi or 100psi

Only reason you should use it is if you are planning to make your enigne a high rever. Like 10k for sustained times. Then you need to clearance your rotors on side and tips (face), and then do some other things like hardened gears.

If you aren't doing that then stock oil pressure regulator is fine.

ok this post has been bothering for a long time.

Especially you Node.

You make claims based on other people's experience and their claims. Why don't you speak of your own experience with rotary engines and working on them?

you say 95 psi oil pres should be intended for engines that rev to 10,000 rpm. Yet the FD oil pres is that and it does not have a redline at 10,000 rpm.

You say i need to clearence my rotors when i run 10k rpm... well i know that too... but that has nothing to do with my original post. Do you even understand the benefit of using a higher oilpres?

Plus you did not even answer my question regarding the FD oil pressure regulator bolting onto the FC engine. I too have done my research and i like to draw my own conclusions as an educated car enthusist and as an engineer.

I have been search rx7club.com and finally found paul ko's website (founder of k2rd)

and i quote from paul ko

"The 13B-REW oil pressure regulator is interchangable with the 13BT motors and is a reccommended upgrade when power output is increased. "

http://www.mindspring.com/~pko/13BTvs13BREW.html

How about you answer my questions with your own experience when you do your own work on your own car, instead of complaining about your s4 automatic. you call youself a true rotor head but yet bash your own car?

my boss put one in his 13b (old school, housings, 89na rotors) and it pegged the 120psi guage, so he took it out. we think that the fd has different clearances, or something somewhere so that in an fd motor oil pressure is 90-100, not 120+

fd pressure is higher then 100 psi, manual says so, and my oil pressure gauge says so too...but nto by much i dont remember the exact number ill lookat it

next timei beat on it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

erm, thats what RETed and RICE Racing have told me. I believe them

And I meant on this engine, FD oil systems are meant for that.

I was trying to help you, in fact, I was the ONLY one to respond until you started crying about me. Suck a dick dude

And if you had a s4 base auto, you'd bash it too.

And the redline on the FD is based mostly on power curve, not its ability to rev. DICK

I should ****** stop trying to help you whiney lil fucks and just ask my own whiney little **** questions. If you wanted to know where I heard this, or why I didn't think it was necessary, or anything else. I wouldve gladly helped you. But you're a ****** assed ***** and attack me.

If I didn't regurgitate the **** I've learned, lots of people would have questions that go unanswered. No, I don't have lots of experience, but it doesn't mean everything I know is crap, some **** I forget or am mistaken about, but if I feel like I may have given some questionable information I will usually say I'm not sure about this, or I may be wrong.

nodielocks is right. Oil pressure on FD's is pretty high....and just because it has a 7.5k redline does NOT mean that's the limit. From personal experience, I've revved to 9.5k over the span of 6 months without damage...and so has Dragon.
