Ok guys my RWS apex seals have arrived...

Now i've read over and over the FSM on how to install them, but thats for the 3piece design obviously.

Should I do it in basically the same way for these (2piece) seals anyway? or how has everyone else here been doing it?

I saw someone put the whole rotor together and kept the apex seals in stay with a rubber band going around the outside of it, thoughts on that?

Only thing im worried about is getting the springs in the right spot!

when I built my Engine.. I put the housing in place.. then dropped in the rotor with the seals on it..

The I stuck in the springs. and corner piece.. short spring first,.,then long.. then corner piece..

I did it like 75 Repu except I put the rotors in without the apex seals, then slide one apex seal in, then the long spring down till it has some tension. Then the short spring and press down until it's almost at the bottom. Then the corner piece goes in.

i do it 12a style, and put the seals 1/2 way in and put the springs on and then push the assembly down, and put the corner on. its a huge pain with the 3 peice seals, not bad with 2 peice

That's how I do it. You can use good, sticky assembly lube or vaseline on the apex seal and seal groove when you put the apex seals in prior to help them from sliding about. I also recommend super-glue-ing the apex corner piece to the rest of the seal prior. This will help out alot.

i find this to be the easiest way also, i dont think its a pain after u have done it so many times especailly.

I did it the way jspec did it. Although it seems like sliding the whole thing done seals and springs at once would be easier.
