of the rotor housings and side plates between the 13b and the 20b. If the parts are interchangable, could you build a kind of 20b by using 2 13b centerplates, 3 rotor housings and 2 endplates, and a 20b e-shaft?

I was buzzed real good last night, and as my g/f and I were driving up to see American Wedding (funny as hell by the way) I started thinking about a cost effective way to have a 3 rotor, but I didn't know if the e-shaft has the same dimensions or what not. The other thing is, I doubt a 20b manifold would directly hook up, but that could be modified.

I don't know, I'm rambling now, if anyone knows where I can get specs (like dimesnsions) for the 20b, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Jeremy

the 20b uses its own e shaft, center stationary gear,.tension bolts, and front, and front middle side housing. the only real difference in the rotor housings and the 2 other side housings is that the 20b uses larger tension bolts so you would need to drill em out. the front side housing has tension bolts going the other way

So that crazy idea I had will work if your drill out the tension bolt holes on all the housings and plates?

edit: and I know the 20b has its own eshaft, but is are the lobes the same size, etc?

yep, your idea would work fine. the only thing is if you do that its more expensive than a used 20b. buying a used 20b for $3500 is the cheapest option. if you build one from parts, the 20b eshaft is $1000, the 2 steels you need to buy are about 250-300 each, so plus the seals and gaskets you're up to about 3500

Damnit! The seals and gaskets cost like 2 grand? Ouch!

So it was an idea that would work, but not a good one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

its more like 1000 eshaft, 300 housing, 300 housing, 1500 seals (you have to buy 50% more)...
