I know theres alot of people with this set up....and I'm very curious to power numbers and 1/4 times with the setup.
86 GXl -Rebuilt Pineapple motor -Their large street port -Ported intake manifolds -RB header -RB pre-silecner -2.5 piping to a free flowing muffler -K&N filter w/cold air box -Thinking about doing TB mod -Clutchmaster stage I clutch and PP -No p/s, a/c, air pump, egr -Going to run pre-mix too and block off OMP Anyone with the similiar set-up that can give me 1/4 mile times dyno...or even what the motor feels like would work. I'd much rather go over to the dark side...but thats not an option for me right now. Later...a turbo motor is defintely in my future. So please, no turbo suggestions...I know after a year...I'll be craving more power...and I'm sure I wont make big HP numbers..and I'm not goin to think I will only to head to the dyno and be dissapointed... Thanks. |
about 200rwhp.... low 14's 1/4
that is a guesstimate.... |
13.9 if you get the launch of your life

people have similar setups here and dyno in the 140-160 range, with the stock port engines, so add maybe 15-30hp?

thanks for the replies..my situation has actually changed. I'm going to rebuild my engine myself now (i lost to apex seals on rear rotor) since i bought another to put it to get me by. My housings look like there in pretty good condition..which is really odd, like i said i lost 2 apex seals, and the rotor is ate up pretty bad, but theres no damage on the housings? The triangle and bottom part of apex seals are still there, but the upper one fell of on 2 points of the rotor. I must have just got lucky and they went flying on the exhaust!!??Do you guys reccomend having someone port my housings for me or attempting to do it myself with the proper templates and tools? After the money i spend on bits and templates..wouldnt paying pineapple the 350 bucks be maybe a better idea? Thanks.
Oh yea...im looking for some good used rotors too if anyway knows somebody...im gonna put a WTB in the for sale section. :bigok: |
