Rebuilding my engine next week during the easter holidays, just waiting for a few parts to be delivered which are late.



But anyway, since it will be apart and I have access to machinery so can just about do anything machining wise, what mods should I do while I'm at it??



So far my plans are:

Oil jet mods

3mm apex seals with double springs

Solid corner seals

Aggressive street porting

Non sequential turbo conversion the proper way.

Throttle body porting and port matching.



Now I would like to add extra dowel pins to the block, has anyone got any info on this??? I have searched.



What else could I do whilst I have the engine apart???

I heard there is someone that ran a 9 in the quarter on stock twins at Englishtown in NJ... Gotta be close to 500 to run 9's in a fd right?

Looks to me like you have the right componets. I am not a big believer of the 3mm seals. Mostly because I dont think most people machine them correctly, and I don't think they are needed. If you detonate you will kill them too.

I read somewhere you can do oil mods to the filter area... But cant find anything on it.



What other mods to make it more reliable???
