Ok what brings this question up is the coolant jackets on my engine.

I know the coolant seals are rubberized and my coolant jackets are full of crud. I found this during teardown of the motor I am bringing back. The Japanese coolant is not as chemically stable as the US major brands like Texaco or Prestone. My coolant seals are not the pretty white like some of the porting pictures but more of the nasty reddish rust color, and in a few of the passages it looked as if the crud had piled up, this is all on an engine with less than 5000 kms on the rebuild.

Now for the question. Is there any proof or any problem of using a Prestone Superflush on a Rotary due to the composition of the coolant seals.

Looking at the engine it seems that it may have been a good idea for this one.

Anybody have any inputs on this?

ive used em annually since 96 on all the sevens ive had since then...

dont see how it could be a detriment as its not kept within the system..

i typically run more than a few cycles than recommended to completely flush deposits and residual treatment..
