Hello all,

Im an engineer student in college who is bored and needs a severe project. My aim is to completely design a functional four rotor engine with the displacement volume of around 1000 cc or one liter. If anyone can help me with the calculus problems to find the shapes...

down near the bottom, the 2 kenichi yamamoto books...

Thank you. Is that your site? If so it was really useful. Books you described were a little hard to find but i got to them. Thanks again.

An engineering student starved for work?

How about including this in your new engine.

Extruded rotor housings instead of molded.

Ceramic coated instead of iron and chrome.

Ceramic rotors.

A torque sensing transducer on the output end of the crank to control ignition advance and feed the

full authority engine control system.

Elastomer coupled flywheel to eliminate trans gear stresses, and report actual HP on the fly.

In your spare time, a paddle shifted 6 speed dog ring trans with electronic control to prevent my driver from hosing it in 2 laps. An electronic prevent circuit of some sort.

It will need auto goose for downshifts and auto cut out for upshifts.

Thanks.

Fill out your personal info. I want to find an engineering school with a load that lite. Maybe I could get a degree?

I want one too, but a streetable version.

X=(R+r)cos(t)+dcos([(R+r)/r]t)

Y=(R+r)sin(t)+dsin([(R+r)/r]t)

its really not a calc problem just a simple parametric equation. i have been working on how to convert the total height and width dimensions of the inside of the rotor housing to the R r and d, but i messed up some where... if you pm me your email ill send you the page of work i did on trying to figure this problem out.

go here, for all of what i and another bored college student have cooked up so far https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png.
