where the cheapest place to lap housings? 200 bux a motor seems a bit much,.. also im in Ca so if its in CA no shipping would make it cheaper too.

When I need plates to be lapped, I send them to Racing Beat. They are the only ones that I know that have the propper tool to lap them. When it comes to making sure and engine is not warpped across the side housings I don't place money value on that. Is to critical for me.

do you just check it with a straight edge? ill go racing beat if you reccomend them, thank you.

Yes, A straight edge across the side housings in a cross pattern. Racing Beat is well worth the price.

They have the prices on their web site.

My engine builder won't build an engine without lapping. He is very critical of ever tolerance. He actually built his own lapping table. I got to lap my own plates with his guidance.
