Hey guys

so im putting togeather an early style 13b bridgeport, the port doesnt cut into the water seals at all

but the houseings have had grooves for the port cut out of both sides so i have to run the carbon apex seals.

Can i run keyhole corner seals without the rubber plug in them?

is there anything else that i should know about running these seals over the steel type, i have the carbon apex seals springs.

also on a side note when bridgeporting in an N/A application and the secondary port of the bridgeport is cut in on an angle of approx 15-20 degree angle is it worth while grinding out a portion of the intake runner just before the secondary part of the port to help encourage air flow into it?

Or does this increase in area lower the volocity of the air fuel mix counter acting any advantage gained by doeing this.

if i havent explained this very well i can through some pictures up to help

lets see. nothing really special about building the engine, you do NEED to check the clearances on the seal, as well my carbons needed a little sanding to even go in the rotors. also since its a 1 piece you need to check the length too.

you can run any corner seal, i'm running the rubber type too

the only other thing, is the tuning must start out really safe, the carbons are lighter and seal better @high rpm, but don't like detonation at all. so start safe, and work your way up.
