Hey so i was looking at what sort of carb to upgrade to for my 13b bridgey, and was wondering about a 45mm weber side draught, would this be too small to really use the engines full potentail?

the bridge itself isnt overly huge, doesnt break the water seals and is only extended a little further up from the standard sized port, oh yeah both primary and secondary ports a bridged if that makes to much of a difference.

just dont really want to have to fork out for a 48mm ida,the cars only really a weekend and the odd track day

all opinions well come.

its on the small side. if you're building something with a lot of midrage power it might work well.

so a 48mm side draught would be a better option, without going to the lengths of getting an ida?

ida is just a downdraft version of the sidedraft carby... racing beat went as far as 55 dcoe, on the 78 bonneville car
