do any of you guys know which is a better 13B engine? 13B 13B-RE 13B-REW

i already did a search all i came up with it one guy using the 13B-RE head

im asking because im Getting a 13B-REW (cosmo engine) for 2G's with ecu and 3rd gen tranansmission, but i read its hard to do an install with that engine because some mounting plate is located in the back True?

anyz this engine is for a 1st gen and i know some people mix and match housing, plates and rotor, if so which is the best combo? thanks

Also what can i take of the Turbo engines to make it less bulkey for the 1st gen? like emissions and so on ?,

or whats he best combo or engine again for N/A Full Bridge

thanks

13brew is not a cosmo its an rx7 motor, the 13bre is the cosmo, the up side to the cosmo is the huge intake ports but very small exhaust i would recomend s5 or 6 rotor housings and port them and also the cosmo 13bre intake runners are huge also not restrictive and have all the good stuff on the inside like the rew has.

The turbos.

All of the emissions equipment is buried underneath the intake manifold, so it's not a concern. You probably will not be using any of it, anyway.

so basically, you're saying that.....

one should go about looking for a 13B-RE, simply because of the intake runners? then going out and finding a series 5 or 6 set of rotor housings...and piecing it all together?

i thought the internals of all post-series5 13B's (excluding the Renesis) all use the same internal components?

was i mislead (in regards to the internals)?

what's different about it? i am also curious about this..because it would appear that my engine in series 4 turboII is on it's way out. and i would like to explore all the possibilities.

also, which tranny would i use if i did swap a 13B-RE into my FC? is my TII tranny easily compatible?

i won't bother asking about fuel management, because the Cosmo being an automatic...it already is a no-brainer that the most hassle-free way is to go with a standalone EMS...right?

A TII tranny will bolt up...I have an S4 TII hooked up to my Cosmo 13b in my FB.

would you also know if there are any standalone EMS that can control the factory sequential twin turbo setup on the 13B-RE? because i am a little short on cash, and if i can't:

a)control the sequential twins with a standalone

b)setup the sequential twins to run in parallel and control them with a standalone

i might have to go with a series 5 engine block running off series 4 electronics...or a complete series 5 swap if i happen to stumble across a cheap clip or engine/ecu/harness combo.

standalone EMS are powerful and allow almost perfect fine tuning..but the cost is huge for a poor guy like me https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

we did a cosmo motor with a hybrid stock fc turbo, and the stock 89t2 ecu+ fcon, it ran great

hmmm...

maybe i'll have to consider this engine as a viable option after all.
