i have atkins apex seals. are they carbon or steel?? any one ever used these on a turbo motor? i have noticed the price from carbon to steel apex seals is like 30$ carbon and $85 steel, each!

Got a magnet?

I really do not like the atkins apex seals for turbo motors. They just never seem to be able to take the abuse.

doesn't atkins have a very high thermal expansion rate? where they would actually get stuck in the apex seal groove.

i just read it in a couple of posts a few weeks ago.... i dont know how reliable the source was.

You are correct sir.

I guess someone should tell Carlos "Okie" Gonzales from G&S Racing to stop using them above 30psi boost pressures. http://atkinsrotary.com/index.php?pag=11 It's all about the tuning if you don't detonate the motor what will break?
