i'm used to pulling these apart, and some bolts are tigher than others, but last night i pulled apart a 0 mile reman, and it seemed like some of the bolts were looser than others.

is this normal at all? engine's never been started

i always did a torque check on all of mine anytime i had the engine out or the tranny removed....just for peace of mind.

Ive always wondered if some coolant seal leaks could be cured by a retorquing to pattern.

retorqued mine after a clutch change for precaution..

surprisingly found others to be off one or two pounds...

i've never done it, but i guess it's something to consider. i, too, have noticed some tension bolts being way more loose than others upon disassembly.

Ito told me to chase the threads because of garbage issue that would lead to torque problems. So I guess if reman was torqued with garbge or bad threads that could release load over time as the tension wore on it. Meaning false torque load at assembly.

yah they prolly didnt chase the threads, and the bolts were torqued dry, the tension bolt seals were all screwed up

Anyone know the thread pitch of the Tention bolts?
