90FC, stock ports, turbo, 400 horse. Has this been done before? I hate to sound like a newbie, but I am. Is porting absolutely required to make any sort of decent power on a 90 motor? 350 to 400 to the wheels. Using a turbo. How about in conjunction with nitrous? Or is the stock exhaust ports just incapable of moving enough gasses? Some one edjucate me please. Id get near these numbers, and Im not sure where the limitations of the motor begin to surface.

You can get 400 RWHP with the right turbo and setup. I had a VERY mild port on the intake of my S5 TII motor, and it was probably in that neighborhood.

I'm making 330 rwhp with a 60-1 at only 10psi. (non ported engine) A little clean up with the pipes and bump up the boost 14psi and I can probably come close to 400 rwhp.

Thats good power! Why risk for more? The driveline gets iffy when you have more than that.

I feel that is good power too. Thats all Im shooting for. I just was wondering if it is possible on a 90 FC stock ported motor. From what I understand, the FC motors have considerably smaller ports. That was my concern. Im ok with using race gas to use higher boost, I just wasnt sure if the port is so small, that a considerable amount of boost would be required, which would be getting into a lot of heat and potentially compromising the engine.

i am willign to bet that u can do 400 at the wheels with a somethign liek a t04s at about 15 psi and no 6 port sleeves and mayeb a diffrent intake manifolold.

Im thinking of buying a 90FC turbo motor. I have a 72 RX-3. Im shooting for a target of 350 to 400 horse at the wheels, and this was the route I was thinking of going.
