What's the best way to port a 6 port engine? I read the Mazdatrix website and wanted some more opinions. I don't care about streetability, just maximum power. Also, can I remore the exhaust sleeves and replace them, or should I just grind out the diffusers?

The sleeves can be removed and replaced, they are held in by a roll pin. I'm not sure where you can get the turbo sleeves seperately though. I just bought the turbo rotor housings.

Thanks for the imput. I might be able to get some trashed turbo housings. I bought two blown 6 port motors for $100. I'm just trying to piece one good engine together. They're just for playing around so I don't want to spend too much.

I've never rebuilt the engine so i'm not too familiar with it. Do the turbo housings eliminate the N/A 6 port or something...what exactly does it do? I've also heard that it's not worth street porting a 6port.

I have wildly ported the 5 and 6 ports on a customers 91 n/a the car feels awesome, we are shooting for 200rwhp. soon we will dyno. The owner is driving his car around for some engine break in. I will host his ports here.

Yeah Mike, in the other forum it brought some controversy. Some people didn't know what to make of it. Some saying it would reduce low rpm torque to much, but would have awesome top end power. I explained how this port would use the auxilary sleeves for the 5 and 6 ports back in the engine with the pineapple inserts. and it will not sacrifice low rpm torque. Again I ported the center housing which is responsible for most of the low rmp torque very mild. Ok the Rx7 is up and running and the car feels awesome. I drove the car for 2 days and paid close attention to low rpm response. Between 2 and 3k rpms the Rx7 is very responsive(no lag) and over 4500rpm is trying to become another animal. I didn't push it pass 4500rpm since it's a fresh engine and I want does new apex seals with the new rotor housings to blend together really nice. engine is ready for the dyno. I can't wait. I honestly feel it will make anywhere from 190 to 200rwhp
